Genie Error Codes

Safety reversing sensor fault (open)

Check that both Safe-T-Beam sensors are connected and aligned.

Safety reversing sensor fault (shorted)

Inspect sensor wiring for damage or short circuits.

Door not closing — GDO Lock engaged

Check if the vacation lock switch on the wall button is engaged. Turn it off.

Safe-T-Beam sensors misaligned

Adjust sensor alignment until indicator LEDs are solid.

Motor thermal protection tripped

Let motor cool. Check door balance and reduce mechanical resistance.

Travel limits not set or need reprogramming

Program travel limits using the SET button procedure in the manual.
